Balqon Corporation is a manufacturer of electric vehicles, drive systems and lithium battery storage systems for residential and commercial applications. The Company also designs custom electric drive system solutions for truck and bus manufacturers globally. It has production and research and development facilities in Harbor City, California, and manufactures electric buses and trucks in Europe, India and China jointly with local manufacturing partners. It has developed rapid chargers for electric trucks and tractors ranging in power from approximately 20 kilowatt (kW) to 180 kW. Its vehicles include XRE20 Zero Emission Yard Tractor, MX30 Class 8 Electric Tractor and Mule M100 Electric Truck. It develops electric vehicle (EV) technologies, which include EV inverters, lithium battery packs, battery management systems, fast chargers and vehicle control systems for trucks and buses. The Company offers ESSR series lithium battery energy storage systems for indoor residential use.
