Another day of bank results:

- From January to March 2017, the BBVA group obtained a net attributable profit of €1.2 billion. This represents a 69 % increase from the same period last year.

- Germany's Deutsche Bank obtained a net attributable profit of €571 million up to March - 167 % more than the same period in 2016, Efe reports.

- U.S. President Donald Trump sent a political and military message to the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, warning that the U.S. military has started deploying a missile shield in South Korea. Trump maintained that U.S. forces are prepared to attack Kim-Jong-un's regime at any moment, El País reports.

- South Korea and the U.S. have agreed to adopt 'swift punitive measures' against North Korea in the event of further provocation, Reuters reports.

- The Financial Times reports that U.S. President Donald Trump spoke on the phone to Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and Canadian President Justin Trudeau, and promised not to withdraw from NAFTA, as he had planned to do, according to Reuters.
