An estimated 54% of 15 year-old students in OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) countries say they feel 'really bad' if they don't go online, according to the organization´s report, PISA Results 2015: Students' Well-Being.

From Monday to Friday, 15 year-old Spanish students have gone from spending an average of under 120 minutes (two hours) online every day to 167 minutes (more than two and a half hours). This represents an increase of 47 minutes.

In comparison to the OECD average, Spaniards spend an average of 20 more minutes online from Monday to Friday. On the weekends, Spaniards' Internet use goes up to 215 minutes (three and half hours) - 30 minutes above the average for all countries participating in the survey (184 minutes).

According to the survey, 17% of Spanish students started using the Internet at the age of six, an increase of 2% from three years ago. The male students reported spending 206 minutes onlineon the weekends and 160 minutes from Monday to Friday, compared to female students, who spend 203 and 173 minutes, respectively.
