40% of Spanish companies will not exist in their current form in 2021. And the digital transformation that will impact all industries will be to blame, according to a study commissioned by Fujitsu y and published in Cinco Días. The study surveyed 1,200 senior managers from Spain and eight other countries (U.S., Australia, the U.K., Germany, France, Italy, Finland and Sweden).

Globally, this percentage jumps to 52%. The report reveals that 98% of the companies are already seeing the effects of the digital transformation in one way or another - 70% say the impact has been positive. When asked about the main consequences, greater competitiveness leads the way with 63%, followed by more innovation with 42% and new sources of revenue with 30%. In terms of the actions taken for the digital transformation to be a success, 64% have changed their sales strategy, 44% have invested in IT and 34% say they have developed new products and services.
