Bradesco integrates UN initiative to develop principles for responsibility in the global banking system

Banco Bradesco S.A. ("Bradesco" or "Bank") is part of a group of 27 leading banks, from 5 different continents, working on the development of principles for responsibility in the global banking system. The objective of these principles is to strengthen the sector's role in financing a more sustainable future and support society to achieve the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and Paris ClimateAgreement.

The project, coordinated by the United Nations Environment Program's Financial Initiative (UNEP FI), seeks to develop a set of banking principles similar to the roles the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) play for asset managers and the Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI) play for insurance underwriters. A version of the Principles for public consultations will be launched during the UNEP FI GlobalRoundtable on 26 November, in Paris.

Reaffirming its commitment to the subject, Bradesco is also a signatory of the PRI and PSI, and integrates sustainability indices such as the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (New York) and the Corporate Sustainability Index (Índice de SustentabilidadeEmpresarial - ISE) of B3, in Brazil.

Atenciosamente,
