Banco Macro's Corporate Tower enters its final building stage

Buenos Aires, September 14, 2015. Banco Macro moves ahead in the building of its Corporate Tower. Architect César Pelli, selected by the Bank to design the 130 meter 28-story high Tower, visited the construction site that is currently entering its final building stage, thus meeting its work time schedule. The Tower is located at Av. Madero 1180, the main corporate district in Argentina.

The project, which involves an investment of 100 million dollars and comprises a built surface of 52.700 m2, is estimated to be inaugurated in 2016.

"The building work is in full swing, with the active participation of all the construction teams involved. We expect to start with the interior design of each floor by early 2016. We believe that these tasks will take some more months. Then comes the final stage, that will involve moving-in all the different teams" stated Milagros Brito, President of Vizora, the company in charge of the development, direction and management of the future headquarters of Banco Macro, a sustainable building and architectural milestone in the City of Buenos Aires Catalinas district.

The concrete structure currently reached the 28th floor and the finishing works in the highest floors have already started. The underground and basement floors are at their final stage, whilst the electrical, thermo mechanical, sanitary and fire protection installations are currently underway. The window facade or curtain wall is in the installation process up to the 12th floor.

Banco Macro Tower was designed to contain all the corporate areas of the Bank in one single building, which in terms of employees involves more than 2000 employees, and will include a state-of-the- art branch, cafeteria, gym, an auditorium sitting 200 people, lunch premises for the staff, three underground parking floors and a bicycle parking space.

In line with the Bank's Corporate Sustainability and environmental protection, the building of the Tower has been projected under LEED standards (acronym for Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) seeking to attain maximum natural light use, materials that do not damage native woods and enhancement of work place space.

As to energy, the building design aims to make the most use of natural light by means of an intelligent system that will allow for the exact level of illumination required each time during the day. Thus, providing efficient visual illumination and attaining significant energy savings.

The building will have state-of-the art technology that will allow for significant drinking water savings through the concept of re-use. A modern system will allow used water recycling, resulting from replacement and cleaning of the air-conditioning cooling tower and rain water use for plant watering.

As to security, Banco Macro Tower will have a Close TV or CCTV Circuit central that will monitor the Bank's branches all across Argentina.

"I am very proud of the progress and materialization of what, only a short time ago was nothing more than a shared project. I am sure that in my next visit I will be able to see it in operation and walk around each of its interior spaces that will be shortly installed" said Cesar Pelli during his visit to the site.

Banco Macro's aim and challenge is to have the largest and latest state-of-the art corporate building in Argentina, where customers and employee will enjoy large, pleasant and sustainable spaces.
