BANCO MACRO S.A. La Plata, March 4, 2015. Banco Macro conducts a financial education initiative for senior citizens and customers in the City of La Plata. The purpose of this training initiative is to contribute to the financial education of, and to provide ATM channel literacy to, the elderly and those who collect their salaries at Banco Macro.
A team of pedagogical tutors of Banco Macro will be providing guidance to senior citizens and customers at the Bank's branches.
Such education initiative will be conducted from March 4 to May 5, 2015 from 10 am to 3 pm at the branch of Banco Macro La Plata.
The purpose shall be to guide the elderly from the time they come into the bank to collect their pensions, as well as those who collect their salaries at the bank, training and counseling them in the use of ATMs and debit cards, so as to provide them with easier and safer tools.
The counseling shall be provided by means of tablets simulating ATM's screens and handing over supporting explanatory printed material.
Tutors will not be requesting for any personal data or passwords, counseling shall only be provided on a simulation basis inside the branches.
This initiative is part of a series of actions launched at fostering the use of the Bank´s alternative channels by senior citizens and is supplemented by other actions of Banco Macro addressed at promoting financial education as the web site www.macroconlosabuelos.com.ar, the education Mini-branch that has already gone around three provinces and the journal "Financial Adventures" for the youngest members of the family.
