BII Wins "Financial Insights Innovation Awards 2015"

Jakarta, 8 March 2015 - PT Bank Internasional Indonesia Tbk (BII) was conferred "Financial Insights Innovation Awards 2105 (FIIA 2015) by IDC Financial Insights on category for its CoOLPay (Corporate On-Line Payment) & BII Sinergi (Distribution Card) for Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM).

Each year, IDC Financial Insights invites banks across Asia/Pacific to nominate the initiatives that they believe warrant special recognition in the area of innovation. The FIIA recognizes success of these institutions in displaying innovation to realize business objectives including BII that adopts cutting-edge information technology by implementing CoOLPay and BII Sinergi as part of development business communities. BII is among 12 winners in Asia Pacific that wins award out of 80 initiatives submitted for this award.

This award has strengthened BII's position as Indonesia's supply chain financing pioneer, especially in micro and SME segments since 2004.  In 2014, CoOLPay was also acknowledged by Rekor Bisnis Indonesia (ReBI), as Indonesia's supply chain financing pioneer and remains as stable major contributor to the Bank's positive growth.

As part of Maybank Group, the award that BII received will further strengthen the Group's position as the fourth largest financial services in ASEAN.  Maybank Grup had received acknowledgement as "The World's Best Trade Finance Banks By Country, Malaysia" and "The World's Best Supply Chain Finance Providers, Asia Region" by The Global Finance in 2015.

Coping with current global business challenges, BII implements advanced information technology by applying CoOLPay and BII Sinergi Card, to support financial supply chain management as its support to business community, in micro, SME, commercial and corporate segments.

CoOLPay and BII Sinergi Card support business process between supplier and its agent/reseller/retailer.  CoOLPay, which is internet-based payment gateway solution is an end-to-end financial solution.  Through CoOLPay, agent/reseller/retailer will able to execute payment transaction real time and online and can be monitored by their supplier.  Meanwhile, to ease agent/reseller/retailer in making payment, BII also provides BII Sinergi Card, especially for those who have limited access to internet, including in remote area.
