Jakarta, 10 July 2015 - Bank Mandiri has dispatched 285 micro customers to celebrate Idul Fitri in their home villages and towns. The travelers were seen off to various cities in Java by Bank Mandiri Senior Vice President Micro Banking Maswar Purnama at Wisma Mandiri in Jakarta on Saturday (11 July).

Maswar said that the provision of transportation by the Bank was part of its efforts to help people, especially the owners of micro businesses, who wanted to celebrate Idul Fitri with their families at home.

"Idul Fitri provides the best opportunity to strengthen relationships. We hope our provision of transportation can help small entrepreneurs stay in touch with their families," said Maswar.

Bank Mandiri continues to develop the micro sector in Indonesia. In the first quarter of 2015, Bank Mandiri lent Rp 37.21 trillion to the micro business sector, up 38% from the previous year.

In addition, Bank Mandiri continues to expand its micro-business network. As of the end of March 2015, the Bank had 1,128 Mandiri Business Partner outlets, 897 micro branches, 706 micro kiosks, 3 cash offices and 5 mobile outlets.

"Going ahead, we want to continue to expand our network so that Bank Mandiri's micro business can continue to grow sustainably," said Maswar.
