Jakarta, 13 April 2015 -Bank Mandiri is now able to accept tax payments denominated in foreign currency following the singing of MPN-G2 Forex and the Bank's appointment as a foreign currency payment bank by the Ministry of Finance. In 2014, the Bank handled payments of Rp 257.91 trillion in state revenues.

Following its appointment, Bank Mandiri will now accept payments of taxes, non-tax state revenues, and customs and excise duties throughout its entire network of 2,312 branches, as well as through the Bank Mandiri e-channel network, which includes 15,344 ATMs, and the Mandiri Cash Management and Internet banking services.

"This reflects our commitment to further facilitating customers in making their tax payments so as to support the government's efforts to boost tax revenues," explained Bank Mandiri Senior Vice President Corporate Banking, Indarto Pamoengkas, in Jakarta on Monday (April 13).

To improve customer awareness of the service, Bank Mandiri plans to launch a marketing campaign aimed at all existing customers and to improve the cash management system so as to facilitate customers in the payment of taxes, non-tax state revenues, and customs and excise duties.

"We hope that this collaboration will also strengthen our business relations with international companies, as well as mining companies, which are required to pay in US dollars," said Indarto.
