Jakarta, 6 January 2016 - Bank Mandiri provided Rp 3.5 trillion in People's Business Credit (KUR) loans up to the end of December 2015, exceeding the target of Rp 3.2 trillion that was set for the Bank.

According to Bank Mandiri Corporate Secretary Rohan Hafas, the bulk of the KUR loans were provided to the traded sector, accounting for 86% of the total.

'We provided Bank Mandiri KUR loans to 70,318 borrowers. Going ahead, we will optimize the entire Bank Mandiri network to expand KUR lending. We will also continue to provide education and assistance so that the MSMEs that receive KUR loans from Bank Mandiri can continue to grow,' said Rohan in Jakarta on Wednesday (Jan 6).

Bank Mandiri, said Rohan, is committed to providing convenient and fast services to MSMEs, especially as regards access to working capital.

'We are aware of their needs. Consequently, we are continually expanding our network so that we can be a true friend and partner of MSMEs throughout the country,' said Rohan.

In addition to network expansion, said Rohan, Mandiri will also focus on developing its human capital so as to be better able to support the growth of MSMEs. Bank Mandiri's commitment to providing MSMEs with speedy services is also manifested in the development of an integrated information system.

The Bank's information system encompasses the client selection, cost analysis, loan disbursement, routine monitoring and periodic reporting processes. With a strong support system, Bank Mandiri's MSME loan portfolio is expected to continue growing, while at the same time maintaining loan quality.
