Bank of Communications Co. (3328.HK) said Thursday its Vice President Wang Bin has resigned, with effect from Friday, due to reassignment of work.

Wang has also resigned as the lender's executive director and a member of the strategy committee of the board, the bank said in a statement, without elaborating on why he has resigned.

Wang confirmed that he had no disagreement with the board, China's fifth biggest lender by assets said.
