Neil Atkinson takes up global role as Head of Strategic Initiatives for Depositary Receipts

Francis (Frank) Giglio has been appointed Asia Pacific Head of Depositary Receipts ('DRs'). Based in Hong Kong, Giglio will join the Asia Pacific Leadership Council chaired by David Cruikshank, Asia Pacific Chairman, BNY Mellon.

In this position, Giglio will oversee client relationship management and new business development for the business in Asia Pacific. Giglio succeeds Neil Atkinson, who served as Asia Pacific Head of DRs and has returned to London to take up a new role as Global Head of Strategic Initiatives for DRs. Neil will be responsible for evaluating and overseeing a number of client-focused initiatives that will position DRs for further growth.

Prior to joining BNY Mellon in 2016, Giglio was General Manager, Asia Pacific for Nasdaq and has been based in the Asia Pacific region since 2010.

'Frank has been an integral part of the senior team in Asia Pacific,' said Christopher M. Kearns, CEO of BNY Mellon's Depositary Receipts business. 'His expertise and industry knowledge will be vital as we reinforce BNY Mellon's depositary receipts leadership globally and in Asia Pacific.'

David Cruikshank added, 'BNY Mellon is well positioned to connect issuers in the region with the global investment community and Frank is the ideal leader to guide our DRs business in Asia Pacific.'
