PHILIP GOULD JOINS BANK OF THE JAMESCHARLOTTESVILLE, VA, September 16, 2016 - Philip Gould has joined Bank of the James as Branch Manager and Consumer Loan Officer for the bank's new Charlottesville Office, scheduled to open in mid-November, 2016. Mr. Gould brings 18 years of financial industry experience to Bank of the James. He was previously associated with Virginia Credit Union where he served as a branch manager and he also held positions with Union First Market Bank and SunTrust Bank. Mr. Gould is a graduate of South Kent College in Folkestone, UK, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Building Construction Management.

The bank's state of the art office will be located in the 5thStreet Station, near Wegmans, and is scheduled to open in mid- November. Grand Opening activities are scheduled for early December 2016. The new branch will offer an open, inviting and modern retail feeling while focusing on the local architectural history of the community.
