Recently, Baosteel Co., Ltd. is once again awarded the title
of "National Patent System Advanced Unit" by State
Intellectual Property Office. This is the 4th time that
Baosteel Co,Ltd. is awarded this title since State
Intellectual Property Office carries out the selection.
In recent years, Baosteel Co., Ltd. increases efforts in
promoting knowledge management, optimizes patent management
system and establishes effective operational mechanism.
Through the promotion of technological innovation management,
it gradually works out a enterprise intellectual property
management mode blending finance, technology, law and
economics. Meanwhile, Baosteel Co., Ltd. actively implements
intellectual property strategy and makes efforts in promoting
the use of intellectual property rights; It strengthens full
staff education, improves staff patent awareness, implements
incentives to stimulate staff invention enthusiasm. More than
80% of Baosteel Co., Ltd. patents have been applied in the
production. In 2011, intellectual property rights has
produced 686 million yuan of direct economic benefits. In
addition, Baosteel Co., Ltd. makes full use of the patent
strategy to prevent and resolve intellectual property risk
and effectively supports the company's production and
management.
By the end of 2011, Baosteel Co., Ltd. has applied for 7579
patents, among which 3054 invention patents and 5125 grant
patents. It has declared 46 PCT international applications
and 19 are authorized.
