Barclays announced today that it has named Eric Felder, Head of Markets, and Joe McGrath and Richard Taylor, Co-Heads of Banking, within the Investment Bank. Messrs. Felder, McGrath and Taylor report to Eric Bommensath and Tom King, Co-Chief Executives, Corporate and Investment Banking.

Commenting on the appointments, Messrs. Bommensath and King said, "Eric, Joe and Richard are recognised leaders with extensive investment banking knowledge. Working as a team, we are confident that they have the experience and vision to strengthen further our ability to deliver first-class Investment Banking capabilities and services to our clients worldwide."

Previously, Messrs. Bommensath and King held the positions of Heads of Markets and Banking, respectively, in addition to their roles as Co-Chief Executives, Corporate and Investment Bank. Promoting Messrs. Felder, McGrath and Taylor strengthens the management team and positions the Investment Bank for the next stage of evolution. As was announced, the firm will present a strategic update on 8 May 2014.

In his new role, Eric Felder has oversight of the Investment Bank's global sales and trading businesses across all asset classes. Prior to taking on this position, Mr. Felder was Co-Head of Securities, responsible for the Global Credit, Emerging Markets, and Fixed Income Syndicate businesses. He joined Barclays as Head of Credit Trading in September 2008. He assumed responsibility for Emerging Markets Trading in October 2010 and Fixed Income Syndicate in October 2012. Prior to Barclays, he was with Lehman Brothers from 1994. He held a variety of roles in the firm's Fixed Income Division, including Head of High-Grade Corporate Bond Trading, Head of Global High Grade Credit, and Head of Global Credit Products.

As Co-Heads of Banking at Barclays, Messrs. McGrath and Taylor oversee the Investment Bank's global corporate finance and strategic advisory businesses. Prior to his new role, Mr. McGrath was Co-Head of the Global Finance & Risk Solutions business, with oversight of the firm's equity capital markets, debt capital markets, leveraged
finance, loans and risk solutions businesses. Previously, he was Head of Global Leveraged Finance from 2010 to 2012. He joined Barclays in 2006 to lead the Americas Leveraged Finance business. Prior to joining Barclays, Mr. McGrath held several leadership positions at Goldman Sachs, including Head of Credit Syndicate, Head of US High Yield Capital Markets, and Head of US High Yield Sales. Prior to that, Mr. McGrath was a Managing Director in high yield capital markets at Salomon Smith Barney.

Most recently, Mr. Taylor has served as Head of Investment Banking Division, EMEA. He joined Barclays in 2011 as Head of Investment Banking Division, UK. During his career, Mr. Taylor has worked on a wide range of mergers & acquisitions, equity, equity-linked, debt-related and liability management transactions. Previously, he spent nearly 11 years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was most recently Head of UK and Ireland Corporate and Investment Banking. Prior to Merrill Lynch, he worked at HSBC Investment Banking for 10 years.
