ClickShare is more than clicking and sharing. We have started a series explaining a number of 'hidden features' of ClickShare that will even enhance the experience. Today, we show you how to use Windows' known Extended Desktop feature with ClickShare.

One of ClickShare's main strengths is that it mirrors your laptop screen to the central meeting room display. And although this is ideal in most cases, there are some moments you would want your laptop to display some other content. Frequent presenters for example sometimes ask if they can access their speaker notes while presenting with ClickShare. And yes, of course they can.

Windows users have to right-click the ClickShare icon in the systray, expand the "Shared Desktop" and launch the "Extended" mode. Then you can consult your presenter notes on your own screen, while your presentation is on the main screen. Or the other way around, if you really want to go wild. Mac users who have a CSC-1 ClickShare model can activate extended desktop through ClickShare's AirPlay function.
