While World Cup mania sweeps the globe, part of our European team has had its mind on another form of entertainment lately: cinema. Today, we're all ready to turn the heads of thousands of visitors during this week's CineEurope in Barcelona - Europe's largest get-together of the cinema exhibitor community…

Immersive storytelling …
The world of cinema is constantly on the move and Barco is, as always, proud to take a lead. More than showcasing its visualization technology at CineEurope 2014, we wish to spread the CinemaBarco message: by combining the latest audience engagement, interactive lobby technology and immersive entertainment solutions, we help cinema exhibitors transform the 'passive' cinema visit into a magic and immersive storytelling experience.

… thanks to smart technology
The CinemaBarco experience aims to bring visually spectacular and immersive storytelling to every aspect of the cinema visit, i.e. before, during and even after the film. To highlight that message, Barco installed a small lobby at its booth, showing how its digital signage technology can engage cinema visitors. The booth also features a DP2K-10S projector, specially designed for small theaters, and Barco's new, powerful 4K digital cinema projectors featuring Alchemy technology - a brand-new generation of projector electronics that fuses the functionalities of an integrated cinema processor (ICP) with a media server into one, single board.

Experience CinemaBarco
In addition to showcasing our solutions at the booth, we also promote our brand by supplying four DP2K-32B projectors for the screenings and by hosting a speaking slot on laser technology at the European Cinema Association (ECA) lobby (Wednesday 19 June at 12:30h). And CineEurope visitors who stay at the AC Hotel Barcelona Forum, Barcelona Princess Hotel, Hilton Diagonal Mar Barcelona or Hotel Vincci Marítimo will definitely have Barco' top of mind', as their hotel keycards invite them to "Experience CinemaBarco"…. In short: we're all ready and can't wait for the show to begin!
