From 1 to 3 April last, over 1,200 customers of global technology giant Emerson travelled to Stuttgart, Germany, for the Emerson Global Users Exchange. At the Solutions Exhibition, they were introduced to technologies and services from Emerson and complementary vendors. As an Alliance Partner, Barco was there too to demonstrate how its solutions can help boost cooperation in an Integrated Operations Command Center.

Integrated Operations Command Center
The Stuttgart conference attracted participants from all over Europe, including Russia, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. They were treated to over 100 unique, often hands-on presentations, industry forums, meet-the-expert sessions, product roadmaps and networking events. At the Integrated Operations Command Center, in the middle of the Solutions Exhibition, Barco had set up two of its Red Dot Award-winning OBLX LCD video wall structures and its networked visualization solutions.

Fostering collaboration and decision-making
The set-up turned many heads, especially when the interactive demo started. "A real-life case was simulated, i.e. that of a storm at sea which jeopardizes an oil rig. By integrating diverse system sources as well as conferencing systems, like video and sound, we showed how everyone involved in the incident worked seamlessly together, to take the best decisions quickly," explains Alain Solomon, VP Sales EMEA. "The participants, many of whom are active in industries like oil and gas, chemicals, metals, mining or petrochemicals, were really impressed."
