The Shangri-La site at the Glastonbury Festival, the European tour of will.i.am, the Tate Modern museum: these are just a few examples of recent, big-name events or venues where XL Video wowed the audience … by using Barco projectors. As the leading provider of audiovisual services and equipment for top music, theater and TV productions, and special (corporate) events worldwide, XL Video has an impressive stack of AV solutions which has just got even more impressive, thanks to 30 new Barco HDX-W14 projectors and Short Throw lenses.

Brightness, flexibility and reliability
For many years, XL Video has been using Barco equipment to provide visually impressive video solutions. When our high-brightness HDF-W26 and HDQ-2K40 projectors were launched, the company soon added these to its projector fleet. Committed to regularly updating and expanding that inventory, they now purchased 30 HDX-W14 projectors.

The reasons for buying the HDX-W14 units were multiple. Their excellent image quality and flexible light output are, of course, two key arguments. On top of that, the projectors' modular design allows XL Video to share modules with its existing fleet of Barco projectors. Besides projectors, XL Video ordered a number of TLD+ Ultra Short Throw lenses which allow their Barco projectors to be used in venues and locations where space is at a premium.

XL Video UK Managing Director, Lee Spencer, commented: "We are pleased to expand our inventory of Barco projectors and lenses. Our existing fleet has proven highly reliable, and so these mid-range 14k units are an excellent addition."
