Community engagement and placemaking in the digital age: these are the main themes of the xCommunicate Symposium on Friday 5 June next at the University of New South Wales' Art & Design, Paddington campus. As these are key expertise areas for Barco too, we are more than glad to chip in with technical support to make the symposium a success.

Produced by UTV and curated by Queensland University of Technology's senior curator of digital media Lubi Thomas, the symposium brings together a wide array of professionals from across the (inter)national digital, community engagement and media architecture industries for a series of panel discussions and high-profile keynote speeches. As one of the main sponsors, Barco is proud to supply its ultra-bright and reliable HDF-W26 3-chip DLP projector to light up the symposium.

Ultra-bright industry insights

Designed to produce maximum image quality in exceptionally luminous environments, Barco's 26,000-lumen projector will be used for projections on the venue's main screen. Its rich colors and crisp images will not only provide a fitting canvas for the interactive projects and a range of video art works - including a performance by French VJ artist Christine Coulange presented by Videospread - in the right perspective.
