In another move to strengthen its business development organization serving the enterprise/control rooms market, Barco has tapped John Copeland as Senior Business Development Manager for OpSpace and Troy Fernald as Market Manager of Operator Experience.

John is focusing his efforts on bolstering OpSpace sales in the United states by supporting the sales team, providing brand awareness and education for partners and customers. As Senior Business Development Manager for OpSpace, he is also driving customer-centric solutions development by soliciting direct user feedback for use by the product team. He formerly hails from VBrick's Commercial Enterprise team where he served as VP Sales during a 10-year stint with the company. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Distance Learning Association (TxDLA) and was recently elected to serve as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the organization for a term starting in July. He was awarded the Bennie Tschoerner Award for Outstanding Commitment to TxDLA at the annual conference. He holds a B.S. degree in Computer Information Technology (CIT) from Northern Arizona University.

As Market Manager of Operator Experience, Troy brings more than 20 years of experience in sales and systems engineering to Barco with specialties in enterprise IPTV and video networks, content management, IP video streaming and digital signage. Heading up sales in the Northeast and based in New England, he is a trusted resource to resellers, consultants, and end users, inspiring customers with Barco's innovative ideas and turning those ideas into reality. He is working with our Certified Channel Partners, developing control room solutions business in key verticals like transportation, emergency operations centers, and first responders. He also collaborating on applications related to NOC, SOC, and TOC with Fortune 500 companies and supporting joint selling with our ecosystem partners. Prior to Barco, Troy spent 17 years at VBrick Systems Inc. as Account Executive, identifying client needs and delivering solutions for mission-critical video applications to government agencies, consultants, and corporate customers. He attended Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts.
