From world-class projection mapping shows to premium movie screenings, Barco is everywhere in Brazil, making a big splash with the brightest, richest visual spectaculars the world has ever seen.

Sensorama is the virtual reality company behind Brazil's newest amusement attraction, entertaining visitors with a breathtaking, simulated underwater journey. Guests experience a highly realistic, vivid and immersive ride, flying, gliding and speeding through magical landscapes delivered via a 6 million pixel canvas, uncompressed video, an 18.3 3D audio system, immersive special effects and synchronized movements with six axis motion of freedom. Sensorama used Barco F35 ultra-high resolution simulation projectors to deliver the magic. 'It's no longer about passively watching a movie, but feeling like you're actually inside the movie,' said Lucas Werthein, co-founder of Sensorama. 'There are just a few attractions like it; it's a first for Latin America and just one of a handful of similar rides in the world.'

Adidas Brazuca was the launch party for the 2014 official tournament ball, a visually spectacular event sponsored by Adidas. Play Projeções developed an impressive 3D projection telling the history of the tournament ball, using 12 Barco FLM-HD20 projectors to bring the story to life on the historic mansion of Parque Lage.

Globo TV, Brazil's largest TV network, and UNESCO, have hosted the Criança Esperança fundraising campaign every year since 2004. Via a live TV show featuring performances by Brazil's most acclaimed artists, the campaign collects donations to support Espaços Criança Esperança (ECE), centers where children, teenagers and adults from deprived families find leisure activities as well as training. Play Projeções designed a top-notch video mapping solution, using 12 Barco FLM-HD20 projectors for the stage backdrop, to deliver a wide variety of abstract images that switched every time a different performer came on stage.

Cine Lumine, with two theaters in Penápolis and one in Birigüi, was among the first cinema exhibitors in Brazil to embark on a new era in movie presentation with Barco's digital cinema projectors. 'Stepping up to the new technology of digital projection and 3D allows us to survive in the movie market. The romanticism and magic of 35mm will stay, but thanks to the new technology, we can broaden our horizons,' commented cinema owner Mariá Bastos.

Cinesystem Cinemas, like many up-and-coming cinema owners in Latin America, decided to upgrade its theater to keep pace with an increasingly young and growing moviegoing public by elevating the quality of cinema entertainment in the region. Cinesystem chose Barco because of its low total cost of ownership and local service and support, in addition to the projectors' unrivaled image quality and reliability.
