production supplies, today announced the launch of its new "F Jaw" key
cutting attachment for its BD Laser. For the first time, dealerships and
automotive repair shops will be able to cut both high security (side
milled) and edge-cut style keys with one machine - the BD Laser.
"The F Jaw was developed in response to our automotive OEM and
dealership customers' changing business needs as more vehicles move
toward high security locking systems," said Christopher Paczak, Director

the F Jaw, dealers can now service their customers' key cutting
requirements for both high security and edge-cut style keys with one
machine - reducing capital expense and turning the key cutting process

Domestic and foreign OEMs have widely approved the highly advanced BD
Laser and its F Jaw attachment that provides dealerships flexibility and
proven quality with the industry's leading key cutting machine. "The F
Jaw provides a solution for our customers that have the need to cut
traditional style keys and do not want to invest in two separate key
machines," said Ladd-E Urbas, Security Products Engineer for Barnes
Distribution. "The F Jaw converts the BD Laser High Security Key Cutting
Machine into a traditional Edge Cut Key Machine, enabling it to cut to
OEM Key Codes and provide a precise reproduction of the factory key,
versus an imperfect copy."
The F Jaw kit includes the machine jaw, two cutters, one tracer, a
magnetic tip-stop and complete software updates for edge-cut keys. The
package includes a quick start guide to educate the technician to
quickly get up and running with edge-cut style key cutting on their BD
Laser. The F Jaw accessory is available with all new purchased and
leased units, as well as all prior purchased and leased machines.
The state-of-the-art BD Laser guides its user through the entire key
cutting process, and includes an easy-to-use make, model, year look up
feature. In addition, the unit is self-calibrating, eliminating the need
for manual adjustments.
