Barratt site managers win 83 Pride in the Job Quality awards - more than any other housebuilder for the 14th year running

Site managers from Barratt Developments plc have won 83 Pride in the Job awards from the National House-Building Council (NHBC), up from 74 last year. This is now the 14th year in a row where Barratt has won more Pride in the Job awards than any other housebuilder, making it the clear industry leader in site management.

Now in their 38th year the Pride in the Job awards recognise the very best site managers from around the country. Each year more than 16,000 site managers enter the competition and are judged against strict evaluation criteria, with just 450 individual winners then being chosen. Every winner has been rigorously assessed during the during the past twelve months across 37 areas, including their technical knowledge, quality controls, consistency, health and safety and customer service.

Steven Boyes, chief operating officer at Barratt Developments plc, said: 'To have won more NHBC Pride in the Job Quality awards than any other housebuilder for a record 14 years in a row is something we are extremely proud of. It shows the commitment we have made to excellence in construction and putting customers at the heart of everything we do. Along with 10 of our site managers recently securing NHBC Health and Safety Commended Site awards too, this clearly shows how hard our site managers are working to keep up the highest standards in this key area of our business as well.'

These awards closely follow Barratt Developments being awarded 5 stars by the Home Builders Federation for customer satisfaction. To be ranked as 5 star means that more than 90% of customers would recommend a home to a friend and Barratt is the only major national housebuilder to be rated 5 star for 9 years in a row.
