- high-performance materials (20.2%): care chemicals (31.2% of net sales), dispersions and pigments (23.2%), performance chemicals (23%), nutrition products (12.3%) and paper chemicals (10.3%) ;
- chemicals (17.5%): petrochemicals (66.4% of net sales), intermediate products (21%) and inorganic products (12.6%);
- functional products (14.6%): catalysts (54% of net sales), diapers (25.8%) and construction chemicals (20.2%);
- plastics (14.5%): polyurethane (55.2% of net sales) and performance polymers (44.8%);
- agrochemicals (5.9%);
- other (6.1%).
The remaining sales (21.2%) are from oil and natural gas exploration, production, and sales.
Net sales break down geographically as follows: Germany (41.6%), Europe (16.4%), North America (18.5%), Asia/Pacific (17.7%) and other (5.8%).
