BASF Corporation's Engineering Plastics business has appointed Saria Sadique as Automotive Business Director. Sadique will be located in Wyandotte, Michigan.

WYANDOTTE, MI July 17, 2012 -- BASF Corporation's Engineering Plastics business has appointed Saria Sadique as Automotive Business Director. Sadique will be located in Wyandotte, Michigan.

During his 22 years at BASF, Sadique has worked in a variety of roles including regional marketing manager for extrusion polymers in Asia, and marketing director for BASF Bangladesh Limited supporting plastics, chemicals and crop protection.

Most recently, Sadique served as managing director of BASF Bangladesh Limited responsible for overall country management, and chief executive officer of BASF Grameen Limited, a social business joint venture between BASF and Grameen Healthcare Trust of Bangladesh.

BASF Grameen Limited launched a new production facility in Bangladesh in March 2012 that manufactures long lasting, impregnated nets that help prevent malaria infections.

Sadique has a bachelor's and master's degree in biochemistry from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, an MBA from the Dhaka Institute of Business Administration, and a post-graduate diploma in Industrial Management from theBangladesh Institute of Management.
