New Order for Agri-Waste Solution from Leading Food Group
Israel's largest food group has ordered second unit of agri-waste treatment solution

BATM Advanced Communications Limited (LSE: BVC), a leading provider of real-time technologies for networking solutions and medical laboratory systems, is pleased to announce that its Pathogenic Waste Treatment and Sterilisation unit of the Bio-Medical Division has been awarded a second, larger order for the Group's agri-waste treatment solution by the largest and leading food group in Israel (the 'Customer').

The contract, expected to be worth €1.75m, is for the supply and installation of a unit of the Group's agri-waste treatment solution at one of the Customer's bovine slaughterhouse facilities. Installation will commence immediately and is due to complete in 2017. The solution will treat the remaining byproducts of bovine processing, and will produce protein and fat products that are suitable for use in producing other commercial products, such as high-grade domestic animal food. During the treatment process, no hazardous materials, chemicals or methods are used and it is completely ecofriendly with no environmental hazards or damage, including odor. The Group is due to receive €875k in 2017 for the installation of the unit and the remaining 50% is expected to be recognised through revenue-share based on the sale of the usable byproducts to already-identified customers.

This order follows the successful installation and operation over the last year of a smaller agri-waste treatment solution at the same facility of the Customer as well as the installation of a full-scale unit to treat poultry remains at a facility of another large customer.

The Group is also delighted to announce that its pathogenic waste treatment and sterilisation technology has been granted a patent in the US. In addition to the previously-granted patent in Europe, this strengthens the Group's IP protection over this unique solution and paves the way for its introduction into the US market.

Dr. Zvi Marom, CEO of BATM, added: 'We are very pleased to have received this significant order for our unique solution from such a major customer. It is the fourth win for our large waste treatment instruments - two for pharma clients and now the second for agri clients.

'This underlines the strength of our Bio-Medical division as numerous hospitals have already been equipped with this technology for medical use in the last two years - making our technology a leading biologic and pathogenic waste solution. The solution is unique and, in addition to its cost advantages and savings, it provides a perfect ecological solution unlike any other.'
