Press Release Machines from BAUER Maschinen GmbH attract a lot of attention at the bauma China

Shanghai - The bauma China has once again established itself as a firm fixture in the trade show calendar for BAUER Maschinen GmbH. By its very nature, the show is a major event for Chinese visitors and manufacturers. The official closing report by the trade show management lists 3,104 exhibitors, of which 2,097 alone were from China. However, the trade show is increasingly becoming an event with international reach. BAUER Maschinen GmbH also noticed this trend at its stand: in spite of the difficult market situation overall, the Bauer team welcomed numerous visitors from Russia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Middle East, Australia, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. There were even some visitors from South America.

China sets great store by symbols, and the way the weather changed over the course of the show was seen as a hopeful sign for further economic development. At the outset of the show, dark clouds hung over the bauma site and there were some sharp rainshowers; over the following days, however, the sun revealed itself more and more. Bauer Maschinen also wanted to make the importance of the Chinese market clearly apparent. A new, modern trade show building was erected for this purpose. Four exhibition machines were intended to document the effectiveness and quality standard of the Bauer plants in Tianjin and Shanghai: the ValueLine BG 26 and BG 38 drilling rigs attracted a great deal of positive interest, as did the GB 46 and GB 60 grab carriers.

The BG 38 is designed as a modular machine with several expansion stages. At the bauma, it was shown in the maximum expansion stage: in this configuration, it is possible to produce bored piles with a diameter of 2.5 meters and a drilling depth of 91 meters. During the course of the show, the BG 38 was handed over to a Chinese customer in a modest ceremony.

In the area of grab technology for diaphragm walls, a completely newly designed grab concept was presented in the form of the DHG V hydraulic grab on the GB 46. Outstanding unique selling points of the grab include not only a new TD4 turning device but also an open design of the basic body to reduce turbulence when moving the grab in the support suspension; in addition, pick teeth are used for breaking open hard ground and there is a modular expansion capability for trench lengths from 2.4 meters to 4.2 meters and trench thicknesses from 600 millimeters to 1,500 millimeters.

The guests were also able to view several grab carrier units in the course of a visit to the Bauer plant in Shanghai. In addition, a Klemm drilling rig produced in Shanghai and a Prakla well drilling rig were presented.

However, the success of a trade show appearance does not just depend on presenting equipment. Each show should also be a meeting point for exchanging ideas and conducting discussions in open, friendly surroundings. This purpose was served above all by the open building concept of the Bauer stand which offered sufficient space for meetings as well as hospitality for the visitors. In addition, 200 to 300 guests were invited to a communal evening meal on three evenings. In spite of the international nature of Bauer, the team also wanted to display its down-to-earth Bavarian roots; for this reason, one evening was declared to be "Bavarian night". The guests were certainly impressed by the suckling pigs, meat loaf, potato salad, Swabian-style ravioli and - it goes without saying - Bavarian beer. Some members of the Bauer team from Germany and also from China set the seal on the event by wearing lederhosen and traditional Bavarian footwear, the haferlschuh.

The positive mood prevailing amongst the stand personnel was concisely summed up by Dieter Stetter, the Managing Director of BAUER Maschinen GmbH: "Bauer Maschinen has been involved in selling special foundation equipment for 40 years now, and I'm convinced that we will continue to do so for the next 40 years; firstly because this is our core activity and secondly because we love the business."
