Bang & Olufsen Launches New Sound System For The BMW 5 Series

Danish high-end consumer electronics maker Bang & Olufsen A/S (BO.KO) said Monday it is launching a new sound system for the BMW 5 series of German automaker Bayrische Motoren Werke AG. (>> Bayerische Motoren Werke AG)
MAIN FACTS:
- Bang & Olufsen already has an established co-operation with BMW on the equipment of cars with sound systems. The co-operation will now be expanded with the launch of B&O's high-end surround sound system for the BMW 5 series model range.
- The new Bang & Olufsen sound system will be available as an option for the BMW 5 Series Limousine. It will also be available as an option for the Touring- and GT-versions, starting summer 2012.
- The sound system consists of 16 speakers and incorporates B&O's motorised acoustic lens technology. It has a total output power of 1,200 watts.
-The launch, B&O said, doesn't change its expectations for the current financial year.
