Beazley, the specialist insurer, announced today the launch of the Beazley Global Lawyers Consortium to provide professional indemnity insurance to large law firms based in the UK. Led by Beazley the consortium offers £10 million of primary capacity.

Brenna Westinghouse, large law firm focus group leader at Beazley, said: 'The landscape for law firms is changing, especially for the larger firms whose offering is increasingly global. With the risks confronting firms growing in severity and complexity, we recognise the importance of being able to offer sufficient coverage and a highly tailored service.

'This new consortium offers an effective and efficient solution with a single point of underwriting. Claims service will be delivered by Beazley's highly experienced lawyers' professional indemnity team.'
