New Investment Planned After Golf Course Is Sold Out Of Administration

July 16, 2014

A renowned Buckinghamshire golf course has been sold out of administration, saving a dozen jobs and paving the way for a round of significant investment.

Harleyford Golf Club in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, appointed administrators John Kelly and Nigel Price of business rescue and recovery specialists Begbies Traynor on July 2 after the business experienced trading difficulties.

Mr Kelly and Mr Price worked with the previous management team to handle the sale of the business to Harleyford Golf Club Marlow Ltd.

The move means the club's 12 employees have retained their positions and plans have now been put in place to breathe new life into the course and facilities.

Commenting on the administration, Mr Kelly said: "Harleyford Golf Club is an absolutely superb golf course, which has a promising future ahead of it under new management as there is to be significant investment in the course and facilities, as well as changes to membership options."

Mr Kelly added that the change of ownership would not affect existing members' subscriptions.
