Business recovery specialists Begbies Traynor has made a key appointment on the back of launching a new office in Milton Keynes.
Marco Piacquadio has taken up the role of appointment taking director at the office, which is based in Exchange House, on Midsummer Boulevard.
The move comes as the firm continues to grow its team across the South of England, and builds on its work within the region's business communities.
Marco, aged 33, who is an experienced insolvency practitioner, will be supported by Begbies Traynor's South West managing partner Julie Palmer.
He said: 'I have lived in Milton Keynes all my life, and we are tremendously excited to be growing our team strategically with the opening of another office. I have a very strong network of referrers and contacts across Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire, and that's been incredibly helpful in enabling us to hit the ground running. 'As an appointment taking director, as well as picking up existing cases, I will be generating ongoing new enquiries through my referral base, helping the firm to offer clear, robust and independent advice to a wide range of businesses across a variety of sectors. I will also be looking to use Begbies Traynor's additional service lines in restructuring and turnaround, such as the BTG Advisory offering. As a fully qualified insolvency practitioner, I have experience working with top ten firms of accountants, as well as SMEs and boutique practices, so can bring a wealth of experience to firms needing advice, whatever their situation.'
Julie Palmer, Begbies Traynor's regional managing partner for the South West, said: 'Marco is a great addition to our growing team. Outside of work, Marco is married with a son and stepdaughter, and enjoys all sports, particularly golf and football, and is a keen West Ham supporter.

Julie is a law graduate who qualified with Price Waterhouse in 1994. Julie joined Smith & Williamson in 1997 and became a partner in 2001. With Mike Stevenson, Julie set up Middleton Partners offices in Salisbury and Southampton, both of which are now part of Begbies Traynor.

Julie is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association and is a Fellow of The Association of Business Recovery Professionals. Julie deals with all aspects of Corporate Recovery and turnaround work and takes all form of personal insolvency appointments.
