Beatríz García-Cos Muntañola appointed CFO of Bekaert

Ms. Beatríz García-Cos Muntañola will join Bekaert as Chief Financial Officer on 1 July 2016. She will succeed Bruno Humblet who became Chief Executive Officer of Bridon-Bekaert Ropes Group. Ms. García-Cos will be a member of the Bekaert Group Executive and a member of the Board of Directors of Bridon-Bekaert Ropes Group.

Beatríz García-Cos Muntañola, Spanish national, has obtained a Master degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Barcelona in Spain. She started her career as auditor with Audigest SA in Barcelona and worked 13 years at PPG Industries Inc in Rubi, Spain, as Accounting, Tax and Finance Manager before she moved to Vestas Wind Systems in 2006 where she was Finance Director for EMEA and Latin America. Ms. García-Cos was appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Mining business of Trafigura Pte Ltd in 2012, a position which she held until recently with office in Geneva, Switzerland. Trafigura is one of the world's leading independent commodity trading and logistics houses with approximately US$ 100 billion in revenue (2015), specialized in trading oil and petroleum, metals and minerals, shipping and chartering.
