As from 31 March, Proximus will offer the Daily Travel Passport, a new daily fixed rate that allows its customers to make and receive calls, send text messages and surf the Internet in any country in the European Union for just €2 per day of use. Communicating from abroad has never been cheaper/easier

In addition to the next wave of communication price reductions in the European Union this summer, Proximus is simplifying its roaming bundles by offering the "Daily Travel Passport", a new "per day" option  for customers who travel abroad, whether sporadically or regularly.

Available to both subscribers and customers with a prepaid card, the "Daily Travel Passport" covers two zones depending on the consumer's travel destination:

  • The "EU" zone - covering all European Union member states for just €2 per day
  • The "Top destinations" zone - covering, among other things, the most popular holiday destinations outside the European Union for just €5 per day of use. Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey, Egypt, Unites States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland, Japan and Albania.

For this fixed amount per day of use, customers will benefit from 20 calling minutes to all numbers in Belgium and in countries included in their rate zone, 20 minutes of incoming calls, 20 text messages and 20 MB of mobile Internet volume. Once the option is activated, customers will only pay the fixed rate on those days they actually use their mobile phone abroad; if they do not use it, they will not pay anything.

Should they exceed the bundle volume for the "EU zone", they will be charged the current standard roaming rates, which will be lowered again early next summer. Customers located in one of the "Top destination" countries and who exceed the bundle volume will enjoy a rate that is about 50% cheaper than the standard rates that apply in the country they are in (€1.50 per calling minute, €0.35 per text message and €6 per MB).

For our subscriber customers who use only mobile Internet when they travel, there is an attractive fixed rate for them too: The "Daily Travel Surf".
