Louisville Head Coach Rick Pitino to Host Show

Louisville, KY - WHAS11 is proud to announce that Louisville men's basketball coach Rick Pitino will host his weekly television show beginning in November on WHAS11. Coach Pitino took a break from the show during the 2010-2011 basketball season.  During that time, he helped develop a format that will showcase the men's program in a manner never before seen on local television.

"Courtside with Rick Pitino" will debut this season on November 26, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. Coach Pitino will have guest co-hosts ranging from players to coaches each week.  In addition to looking ahead and reviewing game performances, Pitino promises to give fans glimpses into the program they've never seen before.

In his 26th season as a collegiate head coach and 11th at Louisville, UofL Coach Rick Pitino has compiled a 597-220 overall record (245-96 at Uof L). He is the only coach to take three different schools to the NCAA Final Four including his 2005 Cardinal team. His .731 winning percentage ranks him 13th among active coaches and No. 28 all-time.

WHAS11 is the official local broadcast station for University of Louisville sports.  It has covered Cardinal sports since 2005.
