Benefit Systems Group, whose flagship product is the MultiSport Programme, increased sales of sports cards both in Poland and abroad in the first quarter of 2017, achieving a total of nearly 870,000 cards. Sales revenue increased by 28.2% year-on-year to reach 220.5 million PLN and net profit was 14 million PLN.

The positive results of the Group were influenced primarily by the effective use of market potential associated with the growing popularity of a healthy and active lifestyle. At the end of March this year, MultiSport cards were used by more than 786,000 users in Poland, with over 53,000 users in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and 28,200 users in Bulgaria.

Revenues from the Sports Card segment (card sales in Poland) in the first quarter of 2017 amounted to 173.7 million PLN and were 19% higher compared to the corresponding period of 2016, while the revenues of the Foreign segment in this period (the aggregated results of companies from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Bulgaria) amounted to 17.3 million PLN, which gives a change of 135.8% year-on-year.

For several years now, Benefit Systems Group has directly supported the development of the fitness industry in order to provide MultiSport cardholders with attractive sports infrastructure. As part of these activities, in the first quarter of 2017, the Group's fitness club management companies opened a total of 15 new facilities, including two new clubs in the Czech Republic and two in Bulgaria. In the period under discussion, the Fitness segment achieved 37 million PLN in sales revenue.

The Cafeteria segment, i.e. the MultiKafeteria and MyBenefit platforms, responsible for the distribution of additional non-payroll benefits in the areas of sport, culture and tourism, recorded an increase in the number of users to 251,300. Turnover on the cafeteria platforms amounted to 50.3 million PLN, which is an increase of 23.6% year-on-year.
