Nintendo fans - mark your calendars for Friday, March 3. That's the arrival date of the Nintendo Switch, which will cost $299.99.

You can pre-order one in a local Best Buy store today, while supplies last.

The console's name is fitting because it can be played in multiple modes. When it's docked, you can play Nintendo Switch on your TV for a big screen experience, or undock it for 'handheld mode' and play on the go. Or, you can bump out the rear kickstand for 'tabletop mode.'

The left and right controllers - Joy-Cons - can be used with the screen or detached from it. They're motion sensitive, too, just like the Wii remote.

What's going to come in the box? The Nintendo Switch Console, a left and right Joy-Con, Joy-Con wrist straps, the Joy-Con grip, the Nintendo Switch Dock, an HDMI cable and an AC adapter.

For those who are interested in the technical details, the screen is 6.2 inches with a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels. The console offers 32 GB of storage, Wi-Fi and a USB Type-C connector. The battery life will be anywhere between 2.5 to 6.5 hours, depending on the game you're playing. Up to eight Switch players can play at one time as long as they're in close proximity.

Zelda fans, you are one of the big winners because The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be available on the March 3 launch date. Switch's games won't be on discs, but game cards similar to 3DS cartridges.

And speaking of games, titles you can look forward to playing later in March include Skyrim, Minecraft, Just Dance, FIFA and NBA2K18.
