Birac ad Zvornik is a Bosnia and Herzegovina-based company principally engaged in the production of alumina, as well as zeolite, liquid sodium, ceramic fibers and other chemical products. It operates six production plants: Alumina, which produces metallurgical alumina and hydrate; Zeolite, producing zeolite for detergents; Water Glass, which manufactures liquid sodium silicate; White Filler, offering precipitated silicium dioxide; Granulated Zeolite, manufacturing molecular sieves and Ceramic Fibres, providing alumosilicate fibers. The Company also possesses its own thermo-electric power plant, as well as workshops for process equipment and techniques maintaining. The parent entity of the Company is UAB UKIO Banko Investicine Groupe, holding a 56.8% stake in the capital. On April 8, 2013, the Company entered bankruptcy proceedings.
