Black Hills Corp. (NYSE: BKH) is pleased to announce that its Colorado operations have been named a Denver Post Top Workplaces Workplace Achiever for 2015.

The recognition is based solely on employee feedback to an independent survey. The corporation's 390 employees in Colorado had the opportunity to answer 22 questions about the company's qualities in leadership, compensation and benefits, workplace flexibility and career opportunities. Results indicated high levels of employee engagement, organizational health and employee satisfaction in Black Hills' Colorado operations.

"We are honored to have our Colorado operations recognized as a Denver Post Workplace Achiever," said Linn Evans, Black Hills Corp.'s president and chief operating officer of utilities. "Our entire corporation appreciates the importance of recruiting and hiring the best people. We retain our great employees through a strong workplace culture that embraces customer service, continuous improvement and our corporate values."

Black Hills Corp.'s Colorado business units are its Black Hills Energy electric utility and Black Hills Energy natural gas utility, and Black Hills Exploration and Production, which operates oil- and natural gas-producing properties in Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming, and has non-operated interests in production properties in seven states. The company also has a corporate office in Denver; corporate headquarters are in Rapid City, S.D.

"I'll take this opportunity thank our employees for all they do," Evans said. "We are privileged to serve our customers and will continue to focus on safety, employee engagement and the highest level of customer service."

The employee survey was conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement. The Post published the complete list of Top Workplaces and Workplace Achievers yesterday.
