Blackbaud, Inc. (Nasdaq: BLKB)
today announced that the University
of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) will use Blackbaud
Enterprise CRM? to gain a more comprehensive view of its
constituents' relationships to UNC across several units and schools
while increasing fundraising revenue, and reducing costs and data silos.
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill was the nation's first
state university to open its doors and is one of the original eight
?Public Ivy? schools. With total enrollment of 28,916, UNC offers
bachelor's, master's, doctoral and professional degrees in academic
areas critical to North Carolina's future. The University is the
flagship of the consolidated University of North Carolina system.
?We are pleased to partner with the University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill and to help the institution gain a better view of its
constituents and the multiple ways they interact with them,? said Marc
Chardon, Blackbaud's chief executive officer. ?With Blackbaud Enterprise
CRM, the University will be able to build a constituent journey for its
alumni and donors that will result in lasting support.?
A very successful fundraising organization, UNC completed the Carolina
First Campaign in December, 2007, which at the time was the second
largest for a public university. To gear up for upcoming campaigns, the
University needed to implement technology that could support its current
and future needs. UNC was previously using a custom solution for alumni
and development that was built on a mainframe architecture. It was
becoming difficult to continue to support and update the current
solution to meet user needs, so the technology staff decided to research
alternatives.
With Blackbaud Enterprise CRM, UNC will be able to roll up all
information sources into one central system and improve workflow
management while increasing fundraising revenue and reducing costs and
data silos. The team will also be able to provide enhanced reporting and
business intelligence and will quickly be able to analyze and track
participation rates, marketing response, and overall programmatic ROI.
The solution will also improve data integrity and sharing, empower
end-users with campaign planning and reporting tools, and provide a
holistic view of constituents, so the University can better serve their
needs. Built on a .NET technology platform with standards-based
technology, Blackbaud Enterprise CRM is easily customizable, so users
can continue to build out additional functionality to serve their
specific needs.
