Stavanger Municipality in Norway has decided to continue to use BlomSTREET™ imagery within the Municipality. In addition, the area of coverage has been expanded.

"We previously conducted a pilot project with BlomSTREET™ covering parts of the inner city areas. This pilot showed us that the data has a big potential for efficiency improvements within our flow lines. It has already produced cost and time savings in many departments within the municipality. We have therefore decided to continue, and expand, the project", explains Roy Sjonfjell, manager of the Geospatial department in Stavanger Municipality.

BlomSTREET™ is a collection of geo-referenced 360 ° panoramic images captured from street level and is provided to our customers with an easy to use end-user application. The BlomSTREET™ imagery can be hosted in the cloud and streamed to our customers via our fast and reliable web service. By hosting the data Blom removes the cost and hassle of data storage and installation for the customer.

The accurate geo-referenced high resolution imagery allows for precise measurements and a collection of data points, lines and polygons with associated properties. The solution has an easy to use desktop application with functionalities for viewing, searching, measurements, digitalization and exportation, there are also plug-in integrations available from a range of GIS and CAD applications.

High resolution displays and measurement accuracy makes BlomSTREET™ a natural part of a GIS database. The additional advantages of digitizing new objects and completing various inventory registrations without leaving the office means that BlomSTREET™ has a proven high return on investment. Users also have full access to the metadata with orientation parameters, imagery capture dates and other vital information.

The data acquisition of BlomSTREET™ is completed with cameras and software developed by Blom's partners Cyclomedia. Blom has exclusive rights for BlomSTREET™ distribution within the Nordic countries.
