Update on claims by a former director to the Company

BlueRock Diamonds plc, the AIM listed diamond mining company, which owns and operates the Kareevlei Diamond Mine in the Kimberley region of South Africa announces that, further to the Company's announcement of 23 February 2017 relating to certain claims made by the Company's former CEO, Riaan Visser, the Company has received notice that Mr. Visser, and certain companies controlled by him, intend to apply to place the Company's operating subsidiary, Kareevlei Mining (Pty) Ltd in provisional liquidation.

As previously noted, the Company has taken legal advice and remains of the view that based on currently available information the claims are without merit. No material new information has been provided by Mr. Visser at this stage. Accordingly, the Company intends to vigorously defend itself in this matter.
