BNP Paribas Fortis Foundation has created a dynamic map which lists and highlights non-profit organisations it has been supporting since 2010.

This visual representation maps out the localities in which the Foundation has been supporting the work of local community organisations through long-term partnerships. Hundreds of them have received Foundation backing, whether direct financial aid or practical assistance. The tool also serves to raise the profile of these organisations, which work day in day out for the good of their communities.

The dynamic map (in French and in Dutch), provides an at-a-glance picture, by province or locality, of most of the charitable organisations which have benefited from BNP Paribas Fortis Foundation support over the last four years. The organisations are listed according to the Foundation's main programmes:

  • Awards, under which financial grants are made to educational projects for children and young people in difficult circumstances.
  • Help2Help programme, which provides a financial boost to charities for which BNP Paribas staff in Belgium, both current and retired, undertake individual voluntary work.
  • Solidarity Team Building initiatives, whereby teams of staff lend a hand to charity organisations on the ground during working hours, thus serving as a team building exercise based on social and civic volunteering
  • long-term partnerships that the Foundation has forged, including the Jump programme, which provide an educational and civic-oriented springboard for young people who have dropped out of school or society, and the Red Cents collection, which in 2013 amassed a donation that enabled the national Food Banks to distribute some 38,500 meals to the most needy people in Belgium.

Since 2010, BNP Paribas Fortis Foundation has come to the aid of over 1,000 local organisations, 630 of which have received direct financial aid amounting to close to €3.6 million. The vast majority of the grants go to support educational projects run by charity organisations for underprivileged children and teenagers.

The range of actions carried out by the Foundation is further boosted by the personal commitment of volunteer BNP Paribas staff. In 2013, over 750 of them contributed to various Foundation initiatives.
