Notice of Fraudulent Telephone Voice Messages

Bank of China (Hong Kong) ("BOCHK") would like to remind its customers and the public to stay vigilant to some fraudulent telephone voice messages. These fraudulent voice messages may claim that customers' bank or credit card accounts are in abnormal status or suspended and then request customers to further provide their personal information or their respective bank account data. During the process, customers may also be directed to a telephone operator who would request the customers to provide their personal information. BOCHK clarifies herein that it has no connection with these fraudulent voice messages and has not made any arrangement to obtain or confirm customers' personal information through voice messages. Customers and the public are strongly reminded not to provide any of their personal information to any suspected callers. BOCHK has already reported the above situation to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Hong Kong Police Force.
Customers who have disclosed their personal information to any suspected third party should immediately call BOCHK's Customer Hotline at (852) 3988 2388 or directly contact the Hong Kong Police Force.
