BOCHK distributes additional southbound Mainland-Hong Kong Mutual Recognition of Funds


Bank of China (Hong Kong) ("BOCHK") will distribute two southbound funds ─BOC Income Mixed Securities Investment Fund and BOC Sustainable Growth Mixed Securities Investment Fund by Bank of China Investment Management Co., Ltd. ("BOCIM") on 2 February 2016. BOCIM, a joint-venture company of our parent bank, Bank of China, is one of the most competent fund management companies in the Mainland of China Note 1. BOCHK has been

sourcing and distributing eligible high-quality Mainland funds to provide customers with a wide range of investment choices.


The two funds distributed by BOCHK allow Hong Kong investors to capitalise on the dynamic opportunities arising from the Mainland equity and onshore fixed income markets. BOC Income Mixed Securities Investment Fund primarily invests in the Mainland listed companies with a stable dividend capacity and high payout, together with flexible asset allocation and bottom-up stock picking strategies to respond to market changes. BOC Sustainable Growth Mixed Securities Investment Fund primarily invests in the Mainland listed companies with high potential growth in corporate earnings, sustainable operation model and a strong sense of social responsibility to capture the expected potential gains from their sustainable growth.


Customers can subscribe to Recognised Mainland Funds and make RMB exchange transactions through BOCHK's convenient transaction and service channels, including our extensive branch network and Internet Banking. From now until 31 March 2016, customers can enjoy Note2:

  • A fund subscription fee as low as 1 % for all RMB funds

  • Preferential interest rates of up to 3.80% per annum for placing a 7-day Preferential RMB Time Deposit with new funds conversion

  • Exchange rate premiums of up to 20 pips for RMB conversion from HKD through designated channels


BOCHK has produced an education video, webpage and organised a series of customer seminars with the aim of helping customers learn about the Mutual Recognition of Funds and other related investment opportunities. A Mutual Recognition of Funds Education Corner is available on BOCHK's website, www.bochk.com, where customers can view the video and get an overview of the scheme. BOCHK's Fund Information Database provides information on Recognised Mainland Funds, including fund prices, fund performance, market commentary videos and interactive charting tools, so customers can stay abreast of the latest product developments and market trends.
