Border Timbers Limited is engaged in growing and milling timber from plantations, and production of poles. The Company operates through two segments: Forestry and Manufacturing. Its Forestry segment is engaged in growing and milling of hardwood and softwood timber. Its Manufacturing segment is engaged in manufacture and supply of products to the agricultural, mining, engineering and building sectors. It consists of approximately three divisions: Forestry, Sawmilling and Pole Manufacturing. It has over five estates. Its Tilbury, Charter and Sawerombe estates are located in Chimanimani area to the south of Mutare town, and Imbeza and Sheba estates are located to the north of the Penhalonga area. Logs harvested by the forestry division are processed at the Company's sawmills, such as Charter and Sheba. The Sawmilling division has capacity to process over 300,000 cubic meters of saw logs. It serves foreign customers, including Botswana, South Africa, Zambia and Other.
