Today, I'm incredibly excited to share that Box is naming Stephanie Carullo as Box's new Chief Operating Officer. Stephanie joins us with over 25 years of experience leading go-to-market organizations within IBM, Telstra, Cisco, and Apple. Dan Levin, Box's long-time COO, will be stepping down from his full-time duties, but will remain on Box's board of directors and will continue to act as an adviser to me and the leadership team.

When Dan and I started discussing his transition nearly 18 months ago, I knew that these would be tough shoes to fill. Joining in 2010, Dan has led us from a fledgling startup to a public company, going from $10 million in revenue to over $500 million in expected sales this year and 50 employees to over 1,600 all around the world. Dan has been fundamental to helping us build our culture, live by our core values, and help us drive operational excellence in everything that we do. For our next Chief Operating Officer, we needed someone who would continue to bring the same energy, focus, and discipline in building a strong organization and live by our unique values, all while helping Box chart the next phase of growth.

After nearly a year of searching, we're delighted to have found that individual in Stephanie Carullo. Stephanie brings an incredible mix of leadership experience at a variety of world-class technology organizations, managing at times thousands of people and being responsible for generating billions in revenue. She began her career at IBM Australia where she spent 14 years in executive level positions spanning Sales, Operations and Consulting working throughout Asia Pacific. From there, at Telstra, Australia's largest telecom company, she led their enterprise and government sales business.

In 2007, she came to Silicon Valley to join Cisco, where she first led a US Service Provider business unit before being asked to lead the newly formed Data Center & Virtualization Architecture group, focused on taking UCS, their new, innovative blade technology, to the enterprise market. In just under 2 years, Stephanie and her team created a global specialist sales organization focused on making UCS the market leader, expanded channels and created a vibrant ecosystem, including a groundbreaking partnership with EMC and VMware. As a newcomer in a competitive market led by Dell and HP, they quickly took the number 1 spot in the US, growing the business to nearly a billion dollars in two years.

After four years at Cisco, she joined Apple to lead US sales for their Education business, where she managed a team of hundreds of professionals and developed an ecosystem of app developers, service providers, and education consultants who worked together to rethink the education technology market.

And while Stephanie is super hardcore about scaling technology organizations, she's also really fun, too. She's a super adventurous Australian who is sometimes known to skydive, battle rattlesnakes, bungee jump, and run marathons. So basically the opposite of anything I would ever dream of doing :-).

At Box, Stephanie will be responsible for leading and integrating our global sales, marketing, customer success, and business development organizations. Stephanie's combined deep enterprise experience at a global scale with a foundation of working within some of the most innovative companies in the valley, makes her perfectly suited to help drive Box's growth from the over $500M in expected sales this year to over a billion in revenue and beyond in the coming years. I look forward to welcoming her as a Boxer!
