BRITISH SKY BROADCASTING GROUP PLC - SHARE BUYBACK

British Sky Broadcasting Group plc (the "Company") confirms that further to yesterday's announcement, and in accordance with the authority granted by shareholders at the Company's Annual General Meeting on 1 November 2012 and pursuant to the agreement between the Company and News UK Nominees Limited (and others) dated 25 July 2012 that it has completed the purchase of 349,821 shares of £0.50 pence each ("shares") from News UK Nominees Limited for cancellation.  The price paid by the Company was 751.0700.

Following the completion of the above transaction the Company has 1,638,562,948 votable shares in issue. This number represents the total voting rights in the Company and may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they can determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
