In April 2018, Brother Industries, Ltd. (President: Toshikazu Koike) marked the 110th anniversary of its founding.

Brother started its history in 1908 as a company providing repair services for sewing machines. Since then, Brother has been diversifying its business to respond to the changing times and business environment. Now Brother has grown to a global enterprise operating in more than 40 countries and regions and offering a diverse product portfolio ranging from printers and all-in-ones to industrial equipment.

We will continuously place our customers first everywhere, everytime, and provide them with superior value by quickly creating and delivering high-quality products and services while passing down Brother's DNA that confidently faces challenges.

Message from the president

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the continued support and patronage of all of our stakeholders.

Since starting as a company providing repair services for sewing machines in 1908, Brother has created various products with the 'At your side.' spirit, which always places customers first.

Brother is currently working on the medium-term business strategy 'CS B2018' under the theme of 'Transform for the Future.'

In FY2018, the final year of CS B2018, we will further focus on 'Business, Operational, and Talent' transformations and strive to become a multi-business enterprise with resilient DNA and a track record of success that continually evolves to deliver profitable growth by meeting the challenges of changing times and environments.

We have created the 110th anniversary logo, imaging the Brother Group embracing its long history and creating the future. This logo will be used on Brother products, advertisements, websites, and so forth.

We have launched a special website that traces Brother's history of taking on challenges from its foundation to the present and also introduces its product milestones.
